There is one important rule before making plans: check the exact cinema, film and screening. The promotion applies only at participating venues, while programmes, available seats and conditions can differ between locations.
FOUR DAYS OF CHEAPER CINEMA START ON THURSDAY
Fête du Cinéma brings together participating cinema operators for a temporary nationwide ticket promotion.
The latest edition-specific announcements from organisers, cinema operators and Moroccan media confirm a price of MAD 30 per person, per regular screening, during the four-day event.
The event’s main website also contains broader wording describing a 50 per cent reduction at partner cinemas. For the 2026 edition, however, the current promotional price being advertised by participating operators is MAD 30.
Customers should still check the final amount before paying. Public information does not clearly confirm that every premium auditorium, special screening or additional online charge is covered by the MAD 30 price.
The offer could be particularly useful for a family planning a cinema trip, students watching their spending or anyone curious about a film but reluctant to pay the usual ticket price.
It also makes a two-film weekend more realistic, provided both screenings are included and seats remain available.

Programmes are also updated separately. A film appearing at Megarama Casablanca, for example, should not be assumed to be playing at Megarama Tangier or Rabat at the same time.

WHAT DOES MAD 30 ACTUALLY INCLUDE?
The advertised offer is MAD 30 for one person to attend one eligible regular screening between Thursday and Sunday.

Co-directed by Belgian-Moroccan filmmaker Nabil Ben Yadir and his mother, Mokhtaria Badaoui, the film follows 65-year-old Fatima after she discovers that her husband has been leading a double life in Morocco. She joins forces with three other grandmothers from Molenbeek, forming the “Baronnes” and setting out to change their futures.
It could appeal to audiences looking for a warm social comedy centred on women, family relationships and personal freedom.
Jouj Rwah
This Moroccan comedy begins with an engaged couple accepting an unusual scientific experiment to help pay for their marriage.
When a malfunction causes Jaafar and Fanida to exchange souls, they have seven days to solve the problem and keep their wedding on track. It offers local humour, romance and an accessible body-swap premise.
PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie
Families with younger children can look for this animated adventure, in which a storm leaves the PAW Patrol stranded on a tropical island populated by dinosaurs.
A dangerous mining operation and an erupting volcano soon create a new rescue mission. Megarama lists the film for general audiences, but parents should still confirm the language version and screening time.
L’Odyssée
Viewers wanting a longer international drama may consider L’Odyssée, which runs for almost three hours.
The film carries a restriction for viewers under 12 in the cinema programmes checked. Its length also makes the finishing time, language and subtitle information especially important before booking.
