Street Food, Chefs and Live Music Take Over Casablanca’s Corniche

Casablanca’s oceanfront is turning into an open-air food festival today.

The Casa Food Festival opens on the Aïn Diab Corniche at 4 p.m. on October 5, bringing three days of street food, guest chefs, workshops and live music to one of the city’s busiest lifestyle districts.

Entry is free.

It is a simple formula with obvious appeal:

food, music and the Atlantic — all in one place.

Three Days of Food by the Ocean

The festival runs for three days and puts food at the centre of the programme.

Street-food concepts will share the Corniche with invited chefs, while workshops give visitors a more hands-on way to engage with the event.

Live music is also part of the programme, turning the festival into more than a place to grab something to eat.

The result is closer to an outdoor lifestyle event than a traditional food fair.

Come for the food.

Stay for the atmosphere.

Why Aïn Diab Makes Sense

The location is part of the attraction.

Aïn Diab already brings together beaches, seaside cafés, restaurants, walking routes and Atlantic sunsets, making it one of Casablanca’s most natural weekend gathering points.

That gives the festival an advantage before the first plate is even served.

Visitors are not being asked to travel to an isolated exhibition venue.

They are being invited into a part of Casablanca where people already come to eat, walk and spend time by the ocean.

Casablanca Eats Outside

That may be the most interesting part of the concept.

Casablanca has a large and varied food scene, but much of it is experienced restaurant by restaurant.

Casa Food Festival brings some of that energy into one shared public setting.

Chefs, street food, workshops and music all meet on the Corniche.

For a city that often moves at full speed, it creates something deliberately simple:

a reason to stop, eat and spend a few hours outside.
